Israeli Strikes Kill 13 In Nabatiyé, Jebchit, And Bint Jbeil In Southern Lebanon

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said 13 people were killed in Israeli strikes that targeted three localities in southern Lebanon, with a strike on Nabatiyé killing 5 martyrs including 2 civil defense rescuers and leaving 2 wounded.

“As part of search and field survey operations in areas that came under attack, rescue teams from the “Islamic Health Authority – Civil Defense” [Bint Jbeil Sector] were able to recover an injured person and the remains of a number of martyrs in the Wadi al-Salouqi area, following a report from a local shepherd”

The same ministry said a strike in Jebchit killed 4 martyrs including one soldier and a Syrian national, and that a third strike in Bint Jbeil killed 4 citizens including a child and a woman while leaving 2 injured.

La Presse de Tunisie reported that the death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 3,666 martyrs and 11,321 injured, and said 13 people were killed and dozens injured in airstrikes targeting the Nabatieh and Tyre districts.

La Presse de Tunisie also said the Lebanese National News Agency reported nine people killed and twenty-eight others injured in an Israeli air strike on public housing in the Tyre district, while rescue teams continued search and debris-clearing operations.

The Horizons dz report added that the Israeli entity continued attacks against the south of Lebanon in violation of a ceasefire that entered into force on April 17 for 10 days and was then extended by 3 weeks.

Le Monde.fr described the war continuing in Nabatieh, saying that in the largely destroyed southern Shiite city, few residents risk returning despite the mention of a ceasefire in an agreement signed by the United States and Iran.

In Nabatieh, Le Monde.fr quoted Ahmad Nassar saying, "No life, no shops, no more houses. People are afraid," and described him stepping over a heavy front door and picking up cushions scattered with shards of glass to reach a balcony half-torn by bombardment.

The report said the search began after a local shepherd reported the presence of two motorcycles, and that Civil Defense teams from the Islamic Health Authority, accompanied by a patrol from the Lebanese Army, headed to the location to conduct a field inspection.

Al-Manar TV Lebanon stated that the first motorcycle yielded human remains belonging to two martyrs, and the second motorcycle yielded remains belonging to a third martyr, with field sources confirming DNA testing to identify the martyrs and officially notify their families.

The report said the teams noticed traces of blood near the targeted site, followed the blood trail to a nearby house, and found the citizen Mohammad Ali Hassan injured, with ambulance teams providing first aid and transporting him to a hospital in the area.

Al-Manar TV Lebanon added that medical sources reported the injured man is receiving intensive medical care and that his injury is old and had been sustained a long time before he was found and rescued.
