Jordan’s Royal Hashemite Court announced that Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and her husband Jameel Alexander Thermiotis were blessed with twin baby girls on 14 August 2026.

The announcement, carried by Jordan’s state news agency Petra, said: "The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Mr. Jameel Alexander Thermiotis were blessed, on 14 August 2026, with twin baby girls," and it extended congratulations to the couple and to Princess Iman’s parents, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah.

Queen Rania later shared the news through her official Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 15, translating her message as praise for the twins’ arrival.
The Royal Hashemite Court also noted that the couple is already parents to daughter Amina, making the twins the latest additions to Jordan’s royal family.
Names revealed by Rania
Queen Rania revealed the twins’ names in her Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 15, writing that the Most Merciful blessed the family with the arrival of "our precious twins," referring to Princess Iman’s newborn twin daughters.
Rania named the girls "Talia and Rania," with the latter named after the Queen herself, and she added: "We ask God to bless them, protect them, and fill their lives with light, blessings, and happiness."

While the Royal Hashemite Court confirmed the birth date as 14 August 2026, Town & Country reported that the girls’ names had yet to be shared publicly at the time of its coverage.
Town & Country also quoted Crown Prince Hussein’s Instagram stories, translated from Arabic to English: "Thank God for the complete grace and great favor Beautiful blessing and faith."
Family timeline and context
The twins add to a rapidly growing group of grandchildren for King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, with Town & Country describing Princess Iman as now a mother of three and noting that the couple’s first child, Amina, arrived in February 2025.

The National reported that Princess Iman, 29, married Thermiotis, 32, in March 2023 at Beit Al Urdun Palace in Amman, and it said the Royal Hashemite Court announced the twins were born on August 14.
ABC wrote that the Royal Court statement said: "May God make them a delight to the eyes of their parents," and it described the birth as expanding the family with two new granddaughters for Rania and Abdullah II.
