Markle eyes Gentlemen comeback
Meghan Markle is in advanced discussions to join Guy Ritchie’s Netflix crime drama The Gentlemen for a third season, a potential return to acting after leaving Suits in 2017.

The Hollywood Reporter says the part is currently being written for an unannounced third season, so it’s unclear how many episodes she would appear in.
The Gentlemen’s second season is set to premiere on Sept. 3, and the series films in the U.K. as Markle and Prince Harry prepare to relocate back to the United Kingdom for an extended period.
Early talks, no contract
Deadline reports that Markle has had preliminary conversations to join Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen for Season 3, but sources caution that the talks are hypothetical at this point because the show has not been renewed for a third season yet.
Deadline also says that no role has been identified so far, and that a rep for Netflix declined comment.
In a separate account, Bronte Coy, senior entertainment reporter for The Hollywood Reporter, told BBC Radio 4’s Today on Friday that the acting gig played a big role in the couple’s decision to move back to the U.K., saying, “This is such a key part of the puzzle.”
Coy added, “I’m told it’s significant, and she’s very excited about it,” as BBC understands the discussions are in their early stages and details of any role have not yet been revealed.
What it means for Netflix
The potential casting would come as Markle and Prince Harry already have a Netflix first-look deal, with Variety noting that “the two have produced Markle’s lifestyle show ‘With Love, Meghan,’” and other projects through their Archewell Productions banner.

People says Markle, 45, is being eyed for a part in the Guy Ritchie-created drama, and that the second season premieres Sept. 3 while a third season is expected to be announced soon.
People also reports that the offer helped shape the timing of Markle and Prince Harry’s move back to Britain with Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, and that their children have been enrolled in a British school beginning in September.
The BBC adds that The Gentlemen, created by Guy Ritchie, has been filmed in the Cotswolds, and that actors Hugh Bonneville and Vinnie Jones have appeared in previous series, while the duchess’s last episode of Suits aired in 2018.
