Majorana 2 and agent chips
At Microsoft Build 2026, Microsoft presented Majorana 2, describing it as “el chip cuántico de última generación de Microsoft” and saying the long-term goal is “alcanzar un millón de qubits en un solo chip que quepa en la palma de la mano.”

The Build presentation said the qubits for Majorana 2 are “1.000 veces más fiables” than the previous generation and that qubits typically have a “vida útil” measured in microsegundos, while Majorana 2 offers “una vida útil media de los qubits de 20 segundos” with cases “hasta un minuto.”
Microsoft also tied the chip’s progress to “los recientes avances en IA agentiva” used to improve “sus qubits topológicos,” and it stated the combination “allana el camino” for a “ordenador cuántico escalable y comercialmente viable para 2029.”
In the same Build stream, Microsoft said it was “Presentamos Majorana 2” as part of a broader set of developer announcements, including Microsoft Discovery for the public and “Microsoft Scout, el nuevo asistente personal para el trabajo siempre activo basado en OpenClaw.”
Governance for autonomous agents
Microsoft’s push for agent control centered on an open standard called Agent Control Specification, or ACS, which DiarioBitcoin described as a way to “hacer que los agentes de IA sean más útiles dentro de empresas y productos, pero también más controlables.”

The same Digital Today account said Microsoft positioned ACS as a common governance layer to combine control measures that companies previously scattered across “system prompts,” “application code,” and “classifiers,” making auditing and reuse difficult.
Windows, RTX Spark, and on-device
Microsoft and NVIDIA framed their Build-era agent strategy around running agents securely on users’ primary PCs, with NVIDIA Newsroom saying the collaboration delivers “a native Windows experience for personal agents” and “new security primitives.”

NVIDIA Newsroom said the RTX Spark platform is “purpose-built for personal agents” and specified “1 petaflop of AI performance” plus “up to 128GB of unified memory,” while also describing a Windows stack that includes “NVIDIA OpenShell to run agents securely on primary devices.”
The NVIDIA Newsroom account added that OpenShell provides “the ability to disguise personal information in queries sent to cloud models,” and it said these security and privacy capabilities are being adopted by “Hermes Agent and OpenClaw.”
In parallel, ITSitio described Build 2026 as emphasizing end-to-end systems that can run across “the cloud, on hybrid infrastructure, or locally,” and it said Microsoft highlighted RTX Spark capabilities including “up to 1 petaflop of AI performance” and “up to 128 GB of unified memory.”
