Rezaei’s New Strategy Threat

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei warned on Wednesday that Tehran’s “new strategy” would “shatter the enemies’ foundations,” posting on X that “Very soon you will see that Iran’s new strategy on the battlefield, in diplomacy and in confronting the economic blockade will shatter your foundations.”

Al-Manar TV Lebanon said Rezaei’s remarks came hours after a “massive US aggression” that left civilian casualties in Sirik in southern Iran and in the counties of Chabahar and Konarak in Sistan and Baluchestan, among other areas.

The same Al-Manar account said Iran’s Islamic Republic’s Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) retaliated by targeting US bases in Kuwait, UAE and Bahrain.

WANA News Agency similarly framed Rezaei’s message as a new approach “across the military, diplomatic and economic fronts,” adding that it would “ultimately lead to the other side’s defeat.”

Trump Reassures Israel

In response to Rezaei’s warning, Al-Jazira Net reported that American President Donald Trump told the Israeli Broadcasting Authority that Israel should not worry about a renewal of war with Iran, saying, “There is no need for Israel to worry about a renewed war with Iran; I am the president and I will take care of it.”

Al-Jazira Net also quoted Rezaei addressing the American administration with “With these confusions you will not be able to rise from the pit of hell you have made for yourselves.”

The Al-Jazira account said Iran’s Health Ministry announced 18 dead and 108 wounded as a result of the American attacks on several provinces last night, and it cited Ismail Bagheri writing on X that the “wedding was bombed brutally” in Seryk.

It further reported that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Iran “has lost control of the strait,” and that the U.S. military would continue to target anything that threatens its forces and global navigation in the strait while the “memorandum of understanding has expired.”

Deadlines, Straits, and Escalation

Kurdistan24 said Rezaei’s warning followed the heaviest exchange of attacks between the two sides in weeks, and it described the latest US strikes as targeting areas along and east of the Strait of Hormuz and parts of western, southwestern and southern Iran.

Kurdistan24 reported that one strike on the town of Kuhestak in Hormozgan province killed four people and wounded 68 others attending a wedding ceremony, and it said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei described the attack as a “war crime.”

ANI News Agency said the warning followed a fresh wave of Iranian attacks against US positions across the Middle East, and it said Iran’s Revolutionary Guards targeted US bases located in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region.

ANI also said the conflict has complicated diplomatic initiatives to resolve the six-month-old conflict, with Iran maintaining pressure across the “strategically vital Strait of Hormuz” while the United States pursues a counter-blockade targeting Iranian ports.
