Ceasefire under strain
Qatar accused Israel of delaying the implementation of a 20-point plan presented by U.S. President Donald Trump for the Gaza Strip, while Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said Israel was not respecting commitments under the ceasefire agreement.

Majed al-Ansari also said Hamas had fulfilled its obligations and that responsibility for the blockage rested entirely on Israel, adding that Qatar presented the intensification of recent Israeli strikes as an attempt to make the plan fail and prevent any diplomatic outcome.
In Ramallah, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and its ongoing aggression, saying Israel’s breaches stemmed from the U.S. president’s peace plan and reflected a lack of political will to end the aggression.
The ministry said Israel’s continued targeting of civilians, vital infrastructure and humanitarian facilities, along with policies of killing, destruction and starvation despite a clear ceasefire agreement, showed the Israeli government did not view the agreement as an obligation to be respected.
It called on the U.S. administration, mediating and guarantor states, and the international community to compel Israel to respect the ceasefire agreement and fulfill its obligations, while ensuring the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian, relief and medical aid.
Mediators condemn violations
Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar condemned ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, saying in a joint statement that Israel was targeting healthcare facilities and medical infrastructure and breaching international law.
The three countries warned that the continuation of violations threatened the path toward de-escalation and exacerbated the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip, while also renewing a call for ensuring the full protection of civilians, medical facilities, and humanitarian personnel.
In a separate statement, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry accused Israel of continuing to violate the Gaza ceasefire agreement, saying its actions demonstrated it viewed peace as an obstacle to ongoing military operations and plans for the forced displacement of Palestinians.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement and what it described as efforts to undermine mediation initiatives, and it called on the United States, mediators, guarantor states and the international community to take effective measures to ensure Israel complies.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said the overall toll from the war in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023 had risen to 73,377 deaths and 174,230 injuries, bringing the total number of reported casualties to more than 247,000.
Deaths, strikes, and next steps
An Anadolu Ajansı report said an Israeli airstrike killed two Palestinians in a vehicle southwest of Gaza City on Monday evening, describing it as another violation of a ceasefire agreement in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.

The report said emergency crews recovered two bodies after the vehicle was struck in the Sheikh Ajlin area and transferred them to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
Palestinian medical sources told Palestine Chronicle that Israeli attacks killed at least 22 Palestinians and wounded dozens across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, with strikes targeting residential buildings, civilian vehicles, and populated neighborhoods in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis, and Jabaliya.
The Palestine Chronicle account said Gaza’s Health Ministry reported hospitals received seven bodies and 23 wounded people during the latest reporting period, and it stated the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025 had risen to 1,230 with 4,076 injured.
WAFA said Israel’s continued breaches of the ceasefire agreement stemming from the U.S. president’s peace plan and its undermining of mediation efforts demonstrated what it described as a plan of genocide and displacement, and it called for a comprehensive and lasting halt to the aggression, withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, and recovery and reconstruction efforts.
