Hajj rites preparations
Saudi Arabia announced on Monday evening that the arrival of the pilgrims to the Mina plain for Tarwiyah Day has been completed in preparation for standing at Arafat tomorrow, Tuesday.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Brig. Talal bin Shalhoub, said: "We carried out the first phase of the Hajj security plan with reassurance and full coordination with all agencies," and added that the arrival of pilgrims to Mina was completed with a high traffic flow.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said it has completed its readiness for Tarwiyah Day and is monitoring the quality of the services provided to pilgrims in coordination with the various authorities.
It said the project of upgraded tents in Mina spans about 2.5 million square meters, with a capacity exceeding 2.6 million pilgrims, and that preparations included training more than 30,000 staff on digital solutions and on-field operations management.
The Kingdom also announced raising Mina’s capacity on the eve of the rites through more than 25 development projects, including equipping more than 54,000 camps and expanding the 'Green Pilgrimage' initiative by planting more than 60,000 trees.
Route to Arafat
According to IINA citing Al Jazeera, pilgrims who spent the night at Mashʿar al-Haram in Mina on Tarwiyah Day headed to Arafat to perform the main pillar of Hajj.
The report says Arafat lies about 15 kilometers east of Mina, and that pilgrims stay in Arafat from noon until sunset before moving on to Muzdalifah.

It adds that after listening to the Arafah sermon, in keeping with the Prophet’s tradition, they perform the Dhuhr and Asr prayers, and that it is planned pilgrims will perform Dhuhr and Asr together in Arafat and listen to the Arafah sermon from Nimrah Mosque.
The same account says pilgrims continue supplication before heading to Muzdalifah at sunset today, bivouac there for the night, and collect pebbles for the Jamarat.
On the morning of the tenth of Dhu al‑Hijjah, the report says pilgrims return to Mina to perform the Stoning of the Jamarat, then shave their heads or shorten their hair and sacrifice, and perform Tawaf al‑Ifadah at the Kaaba.
Deaths on the road
Shafaqna says news sources reported a devastating accident on the road between Mecca and Medina in which dozens of Indian pilgrims died.

According to Shafaqna's translation service, Al Jazeera wrote: "dozens of Indian pilgrims were killed as a result of a bus colliding with a tanker on the highway between the two holy cities in Saudi Arabia."
The Shafaqna report says the bus reportedly carried 46 people and collided on Sunday night while departing the holy city of Mecca for Medina with a diesel tanker on the highway.
It states that an official said up to 45 people have died in this incident, and that Narendra Modi wrote on social media: 'This accident is deeply unfortunate' and 'I extend my condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones.'
The Indian Consulate in Jeddah said a control room has been set up to provide emergency relief hotlines, and the Hyderabad Police Chief said most of the victims were from two families.
