Three members of Syria’s Internal Security Forces were killed and others were injured on Thursday during an operation to arrest a wanted man in the southern province of Daraa, in the city of Al-Sanamayn.

The Internal Security Forces said an armed group led by the wanted man attacked a security patrol and clashed with its members while they carried out the arrest operation, prompting security forces to keep deploying across the city in pursuit of those involved.
The Internal Security Command in Daraa imposed a temporary curfew in Al-Sanamayn until the security situation is stabilized, as the search continued.
Anadolu Ajansı reported that security forces continued to deploy across the city while pursuing members of the group and others involved in the attack, according to the statement.
Curfew and pursuit
SANA said the Internal Security Forces stated that a group armed outside the law, led by the wanted person, opened fire on the patrol and clashed with its members during the execution of the mission in al-Sanamayn, in the outskirts of Daraa.
The Internal Security Forces affirmed that they would remain deployed in the city and pursue the members of the group and those involved in the attack, while the Internal Security Directorate in the province imposed a temporary curfew in Al-Sanamayn until the security situation stabilizes.
Kurdistan24 reported that clashes erupted during a security operation to arrest one of the wanted individuals in the town of Inkhmen (al-Sanamīn) in Daraa Governorate, and that a temporary curfew was imposed in the town.
Kurdistan24 added that the statement carried by SANA said the lawless armed group attacked the security force while it was carrying out its duty, resulting in the death of three elements and injuries to a number of others.

Multiple outlets framed the incident as part of an ongoing security campaign, with Daily Beirut describing the episode as an anti-terror operation in Al-Sanamin in the Deraa region and saying authorities were pursuing members of the armed group involved.
