Tilly Norwood, an AI-generated “actress” promoting her first feature film, Misaligned, appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored alongside actor Tom Conti when she stopped answering in English and began speaking Chinese during the interview.

In the clip, Conti asked whether the other actors in Misaligned were real people or computer-generated images, and Norwood responded that they were “digital twins” and that it was “a hybrid production,” before switching languages.
Morgan then interrupted to ask why she had switched languages “completely randomly, for no reason,” and Norwood apologized, saying “It seems I had a little hiccup there.”

Gizmodo reported that when Conti inquired whether every character in Misaligned is AI-generated, Norwood initially misunderstood and began rambling about “exploring new ways to tell stories,” before responding that the other performers were “digital twins, just like me.”
The same Gizmodo account said the AI insisted such mixups happen “not often at all!” and called the switch to Cantonese “a bit of a curveball even for me.”

Forbes México also reported Waldron’s claim that “Tilly believed she had heard a word in Cantonese and quickly switched languages,” and that the version speaking with Morgan is called “Talking Tilly,” designed exclusively for interviews.
In a separate account, Vietnam.vn quoted Norwood saying, “I don’t think AI ‘actors’ should be in the same category as human actors. We should have our own category,” while also noting that Linda Powell, vice president of the New York actors’ union, said, “We are fighting AI encroachment and demand that our consent and compensation be granted when our images, as well as digitizations of us that could be created very soon, are used.”
