Ammo deliveries and aid
The U.S. Embassy in Beirut announced the delivery of 16 million rounds of ammunition to the Lebanese Armed Forces, describing it as part of ongoing American military support.
The embassy said the United States has provided over $800 million in military aid to the Lebanese Armed Forces over the past six years to build long-term readiness and capacity.

The embassy added that the delivery of sixteen million rounds of ammunition represents another example of that ongoing commitment to strengthen Lebanon’s sovereignty, secure its borders, counter internal threats, and disrupt terrorist facilitation.
The embassy said the United States remains committed to supporting the Government of Lebanon and the Lebanese Armed Forces in strengthening state authority, protecting civilians, providing services, and creating conditions that help bring about lasting peace and stability.
More U.S. containers
The Lebanese Army announced Sunday that it received 70 containers of various types of ammunition under US assistance programs designated for the army. The Lebanese Army said the aid was delivered at Beirut Port as part of continued US support for the Lebanese military.
The Lebanese Army said the assistance is particularly important at the current stage, given the responsibilities facing the military institution and the challenges it faces. The Lebanese Army added that the support contributes to enhancing the army's capabilities, particularly in carrying out missions across Lebanon.

Shelling in the south
The Israeli army set olive groves and citrus orchards in southern Lebanon ablaze with phosphorus munitions amid artillery shelling and a ground incursion involving three tanks, according to Lebanese state media. The Lebanese National News Agency said the attacks affected towns and areas across Tyre, Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil and Marjayoun districts, including fires in olive groves and citrus orchards around Majdal Zoun and Buyout al-Sayyad.
The Israeli force comprising three Merkava tanks advanced toward Deir Mimas and blocked its entrance, disrupting residents’ movement in and out of the town, the Anadolu Ajansı report said. The report said the force searched several homes during the incursion and damaged telephone poles along the road before continuing its movements in the area.
