US Deploys Over 10,000 Troops to Middle East as Trump Pressures Iran

The Pentagon is sending approximately 6,000 troops aboard the USS George H.W. Bush and 4,200 with the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group.

The deployment comes as President Trump intensifies pressure on Iran, having imposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports.

Trump warned that any ship approaching the blockade could be immediately ELIMINATED.

The Washington Post reported that the deployment would enable the US to continue holding talks while preparing for additional strikes or ground operations.

Trump announced the maritime blockade on April 12 after peace talks collapsed.

The Iranian military responded by pledging to block trade if the American blockade continued.
