X sues bot farm
X sued Vivek Kumar Sen and Zmyang Sherpa in London, alleging they operated a network of fake bitcoin headline accounts to fraudulently collect at least 207,000 pounds from its creator fund.
X said it terminated the accounts on Aug. 18 on grounds of “coordinated revenue sharing fraud and platform manipulation,” and the lawsuit seeks repayment of creator earnings as well as damages for alleged fraud and conspiracy.

X’s filing names nine accounts as part of the alleged network, including @Vivek4real_, @Bitcoin_Teddy, @saylordocs, @TrendingBitcoin, @Kalshibacktest, @PolyBackTest, @BTC_Vibes, @MrSuperBitcoin and @Laserlump.
X alleged the accounts posted nearly identical, unverified financial headlines within seconds of one another and used coordinated likes, replies and reposts to manufacture engagement.
The lawsuit also cited an example in which @Vivek4real_ and @TrendingBitcoin allegedly published substantially similar posts within 11 seconds of each other.
Payments and program changes
X alleged the defendants used coordinated posting and engagement to inflate creator payments under its former creator revenue-sharing program, with eligible creators receiving a share of the platform’s revenue based on engagement their posts generated.
X said it retired the revenue-sharing program on Sept. 7 and began rolling out access to its replacement, Original Content Rewards, the following day.

X alleged it expects at least 75,000 British pounds in investigation and remediation costs, bringing its claimed and projected losses to at least 282,384 pounds before interest and legal costs.
The lawsuit described how X linked Stripe payment details and other identifying information across accounts, including a Stripe payment details registered to “Stefan Mann” while the linked bank account and email address were in Sen’s name.
X also alleged that the @Vivek4real_ handle offered paid engagement and manipulation services to third parties, soliciting the purchase of additional high-follower accounts.
Court filing and stakes
X filed the case in the England and Wales High Court, and the filing is available in X’s Transparency Center. X named Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa as the alleged masterminds behind the scheme, and the lawsuit also pointed to unidentified account operators as part of the alleged network. X’s legal directors Diego de Lima Gualda and Adam Mehes signed the particulars of the claim, and X sought to recover at least 207,384 British pounds from its creator revenue-sharing program.
The Cryptonomist said X Internet Unlimited Company and X Corp. brought the case before the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales on September 17 under claim number BL-2026-001161. The Cryptonomist also said X estimated investigation and remediation costs at £75,000 or more, while X pursued the money it said the defendants extracted plus damages, interest and legal costs.
