Xi Jinping Speaks at Chinese Communist Party’s 105th Anniversary in Beijing

On July 1, Beijing’s Great Hall of the People hosted the 105th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party, where Xi Jinping spoke of a "community with a shared future for humanity."

In Havana on June 29, Cuba’s communists held a political function at the Palace of the Revolution to mark the July 1 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, attended by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and other Cuban party and state figures.

The Friends of Socialist China account says Chinese Ambassador Hua Xin affirmed, "The Communist Party of China will always stand with the Communist Party of Cuba," and framed the moment around the "escalating blockade imposed by the United States" and "military threats."

The Taiwan News account portrays the CCP’s anniversary message as emphasizing that the world is coming to understand the "key code" behind the CCP's success, while it argues that China’s reality differs from official celebrations.

It also says the party’s system is managed through "the world's most sophisticated digital surveillance apparatus," including "Real-name registration" governing purchasing train tickets and posting comments online.

In Beijing, the CPPCC National Committee meeting described by Xinhua says senior members studied a speech delivered by Xi Jinping at a gathering marking the CPC's 105th founding anniversary on July 3, 2026, and also studied "Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building."

The meeting was presided over by Wang Huning, and it said Xi’s speech is a "political declaration" for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics and securing new victories in Chinese modernization.

In the Jerusalem Post’s account of the July 1, 2026 celebration, the CPC’s success is framed through a founding mission of seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation, with Xi Jinping saying the party has united and led people of all ethnic groups.

That same account says the CPC has 105 million members and describes citizens reporting problems to disciplinary authorities through "a simple phone call or by scanning a QR code" on their mobile phones.

In the South African media article published on July 3, Ambassador Wu Peng’s text says China’s GDP grew at an average annual rate of 5.4% over the past five years and that China’s electricity generation accounts for "nearly one-third of the world’s total."

Wu Peng’s article also asserts that China’s Belt and Road Initiative has benefited more than 150 countries and that project investment exceeds US$1 trillion, while it says China fully implemented zero-tariff treatment for 100% of tariff-line products from 53 African countries on May 1 this year.
