6 Palestinians killed, 10 injured in Israeli attacks across Gaza
At least six Palestinians were killed and 10 others injured, including five university students, in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, in further violations of last year’s ceasefire agreement, medical sources said. Three Palestinians lost their lives and others were injured in an Israeli strike on the Islamic University campus in Gaza City, one of the sources told Anadolu. The attack came shortly after five students were injured, some critically, when an Israeli drone strike targeted a gathering of students on campus, the university said in a statement. The university suspended administrative and academic activities at its Gaza City premises following the attack, which caused panic among students and displaced Palestinians sheltering on campus after their homes were destroyed during Israel’s genocidal war. In northern Gaza, an Israeli strike on a gathering of civilians along Al-Rashid coastal road in the northwest of the enclave wounded several Palestinians, medical sources said, without specifying their number. A Palestinian was also hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the foot after Israeli forces opened fire in the Al-Faluja area west of Jabalia refugee camp. In southern Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and three others injured in an Israeli strike in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, according to medical sources. The sources also reported that a woman sustained moderate injuries from Israeli gunfire in Khan Younis. Israeli artillery also shelled areas east and south of the city, while gunboats fired bullets and shells toward its coast, witnesses told Anadolu. In central Gaza, a 33-year-old man was killed in an Israeli strike east of Deir al-Balah. At dawn Sunday, Israeli forces carried out two demolitions of homes and buildings in areas under their control in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza City, causing two large explosions, local sources said. Despite a ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, the Israeli army has killed 1,551 Palestinians and injured 5,573 others, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Since October 2023, Israel's war in Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and wounded over 175,000, while causing widespread destruction to about 90% of the territory's civilian infrastructure.
