Nabatieh al-Fawqa Injuries
The Lebanese Army said an explosion in the Nabatieh al-Foqa area injured four people, including a soldier, after the army had announced the injuries resulted from an Israeli strike targeting a military vehicle. The Lebanese Army later stated that "Following investigations and engineering inspections, it turns out that the incident was caused by the explosion of a suspicious object," in a statement posted after it had previously spoken of an Israeli attack.
An Israeli drone struck Nabatieh Al-Fawqah, and the Lebanese Army confirmed the Israeli strike and casualties. Israeli artillery shelling of Al-Khiyyam and an explosion in Hula occurred, while the Lebanese army said the soldier was seriously wounded and three civilians were injured in the Nabatieh Al-Foqa area.

ANews, citing official sources, said the Lebanese army stated the soldier sustained serious injuries in the Nabatieh al-Fawqa area and that three civilians were also injured. The Lebanese Army’s Command said a soldier was seriously injured as a result of the Israeli strike on a Lebanese Army vehicle in the Nabatieh al-Fuqa area, and it added that the strike was carried out by an Israeli unmanned aircraft, a drone.
Broader war context
The sources tied the Nabatieh al-Fawqa incident to a wider pattern of attacks in southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah since June 21. Lebanon entered the war on March 2 after Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel, and Israel responded with heavy raids and a ground incursion that occupied dozens of towns and villages in southern Lebanon.
