Early ballot in Florida
President Donald Trump cast his ballot for the midterm elections in Palm Beach on Saturday, voting early in his adopted home state of Florida. Trump voted at a Florida polling place in Palm Beach on Saturday and told reporters, “Very much so,” when asked if he voted for the party line. Trump urged Republicans to cast their ballots early at rallies ahead of Election Day on November 3, reversing course on a practice he had long decried.
Trump also launched new claims about election security, saying that invalid ballots would exist in Los Angeles, a predominantly Democratic city. First lady Melania Trump and Trump arrived at their West Palm Beach polling location together after Trump spent the morning at his nearby golf course.

Corruption and party line
Trump told reporters at his Palm Beach polling place near his Mar-a-Lago residence that Republicans were “straight in their boots” on corruption.
Trump added, “But you should look at the real corruption side, it’s Democratic corruption,” as he addressed questions after voting.
Trump also defended his decision to instruct his administration to file its lawsuit to block certification of the U.S. Senate race in Alaska if Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan loses.
Barack Obama returned on Saturday to rally in Ohio to back the Democratic candidates, delivering a critique of Donald Trump in Cleveland.
Obama urged people in attendance to cast their ballot as soon as possible, saying, “Don’t procrastinate, don’t hide from it,” as early voting was already open in Ohio.
Midterms and what’s at stake
The AP said Trump cast his early ballot in the midterm elections Saturday, and it framed the vote as crucial for the future of his second term. The blue News account said polls show Trump losing control of the House of Representatives, or even the Senate, and it said Democrats intend to scrutinize the president and his associates’ dealings through the family holding company. NBC News Decision Desk material said 14% of 16.2M registered voters have cast an early ballot so far, with 2,320,928 mail-in and early in-person votes cast and 2,492,314 requests for vote-by-mail.
“Make sure all your acquaintances vote for the Republican candidate in every race, on every ballot.”
The South China Morning Post account said Trump’s reversal on early voting aimed to mobilise his base to help Republicans keep control of Congress. Trump’s campaign messaging also included a Truth Social call for voters to go to the polls, with Infobae quoting him: “Make sure all your acquaintances vote for the Republican candidate in every race, on every ballot.”
