Shelling and explosions spread
Israeli artillery shelling targeted Nabatieh al-Fawqa, as well as the outskirts of Haris and Haddatha, while additional shelling struck Wadi al-Salouqi and the outskirts of Baraachit, and further artillery fire hit Al-Mansouri and Wadi Zibqin. Israeli machine-gun fire was directed toward Mays al-Jabal and toward the outskirts of Shebaa, as an explosion was carried out by the enemy in Al-Qantara.
The Israeli army continued strikes in southern Lebanon despite a US-brokered framework agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel in June, and Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported that the Israeli army "carried out a demolition operation in Bani Hayyan." The Israeli army also conducted search operations in Khiam in the Marjayoun district and shelled the outskirts of Wadi al-Hujair in the Jabal Amel region, while overnight artillery fire hit the outskirts of Baraachit in the Bint Jbeil district and Wadi Zibqin.
Ambulance stopped, towns hit
Israeli forces conducted sweeping operations in Qantara and artillery fire targeted Haddatha in the morning, while a shell directly struck a house in Aita al-Jabal. After 10 p.m., artillery fire targeted Wadi al-Hojeir in Marjayoun, and Israeli forces conducted search operations in Qantara as machine-gun fire continued toward Mayfadoun and toward Mais al-Jabal, particularly around the hospital.
The pretext invoked for an attack on Wednesday against a motorcycle on the Kabrikha road, a locality in southern Lebanon located outside the line drawn by the Israelis, was that the motorcycle carried two members of Hezbollah. Residents of the sector's localities insisted that the young man who was killed, as well as the wounded, were part of the relief workers affiliated with the Amal movement, while the Israelis maintained their version.
Framework deal and escalation
The June framework deal provides for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army and its assumption of security responsibilities there.
Lebanon's Health Ministry said Israeli attacks since March 2 had killed 4,390 people and wounded 12,429 others as of Nov. 5, while it added that Israel continues to occupy areas of southern Lebanon.
Al-Manar TV Lebanon’s correspondent provided a summary of Zionist attacks on southern Lebanon up to 9:00 AM today, Saturday, detailing artillery shellings, machine-gun fire, and explosions across multiple towns and areas.
L'Orient-Le Jour said international visitors reportedly told Lebanese officials that if Hezbollah takes the slightest suspicious initiative, the Israelis would be ready this time to launch an attack “with no ceiling and no red lines.”
