Six Injured in West Bank

Six Palestinians, including two medics, were injured in Israeli attacks across the occupied West Bank governorates of Nablus and Bethlehem on Friday, according to Anadolu Ajansı.

In Bethlehem, Anadolu Ajansı reported that three Palestinians were injured after occupiers attacked Palestinian vehicles in the Abu Njeim area, and that PRCS said an ambulance crew was assaulted while attempting to reach the injured in the Khalayel al-Louz–Abu Njeim area.

Anadolu Ajansı also cited Palestinian official figures that since Oct. 7, 2023, Israeli forces and occupiers have killed at least 1,182 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, injured around 13,000 others, and arrested nearly 25,000.

PRCS, Raids, and Access

Al Jazeera said Israeli forces and settlers injured six Palestinians, including two paramedics, and that the PRCS treated a man beaten by Israeli forces in Beit Furik, east of Nablus, on Friday.

Al Jazeera reported that the PRCS was coordinating with the International Committee of the Red Cross to secure access to the man, who had been arrested following the assault.

In the same town, Al Jazeera said settlers separately vandalised a Palestinian-owned vehicle, and in Bethlehem it reported that three Palestinians were wounded after settlers attacked vehicles in the Abu Njeim area.

Al Jazeera added that an ambulance crew responding to injured people in the nearby Khalayel al-Louz area was pelted with stones, injuring two paramedics and damaging the vehicle, according to the PRCS.

WAFA said colonists attacked the village of Abu Njeim, southeast of Bethlehem, on Friday evening and opened live fire at residents’ vehicles, injuring one Palestinian.

WAFA reported that colonists then attacked an ambulance that arrived to provide medical assistance, smashing its windows and spraying its crew with pepper spray, causing the ambulance personnel to suffer from suffocation.

WAFA quoted Abdul Halim Jaafreh, Director of the Palestine Red Crescent Society’s ambulance service in Bethlehem, saying that two ambulance officers were injured after colonists attacked the ambulance they were traveling in, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

WAFA also said that following the attack, the colonists closed the village’s main road and assaulted civil defense crews, while a security source confirmed another Palestinian sustained a broken hand after colonists attacked his truck near the university housing area in the village.
