Khamenei Praises Lebanon
Leader Sayyed Khamenei said Lebanon’s current days are “glorious for Resistance fighters” and “humiliating for those relying on oppressors,” in remarks carried by Al-Manar TV Lebanon. Sayyed Khamenei also spoke on Sayyed Nasrallah, saying his “greatness [was] unparalleled in Levant’s history since the prophets and their successors,” and he said Nasrallah “elevated Lebanon, once a backyard for some powers, to greatness.”
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement on Sunday on the second anniversary of the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, affirming that “the lord of the resistance remains, and his approach continues with all pride and capability.” The IRGC statement framed Nasrallah as “the strategic architect of modern resistance” and said his influence “transcended the region, as his expanding sway—from Lebanon and Palestine to Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and beyond—became a voice for the vigilant conscience of the Islamic nation.”
Second Anniversary Messaging
Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Hashemi Khamenei issued a message for Eternal Sacred Defense Week and the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, stressing that “the arrogant forces sought, through imposing the war in the first decade of the revolution’s life.” The message said the Islamic system rose “like a phoenix, stronger and with a tougher spine than before,” and it described Lebanon’s current days as “a remarkable and honorable time for all Resistance mujahideen.”
Jaridat al-Nowa published Khamenei’s remarks recalling the “second anniversary of the martyrdom of the heroic Arab commander,” and it quoted Khamenei saying Nasrallah “raised the name of Lebanon, this small country that for many years was a fortress for some powers.” The same Jaridat al-Nowa text said Nasrallah’s banner is “now in the hands of Sheikh Naim Qassem, may God protect him,” and it added that “These days Lebanon is passing through… days of distinction and glory for them.”
Resistance, Deterrence, and Stakes
The IRGC statement said Nasrallah’s era of leadership constituted “the brightest and most glorious chapter in the history of beloved Lebanon,” and it claimed his leadership “shattered the myth of the ‘invincible army’ forever.” The statement also asserted that the axis of resistance has “proven to be a symbol of honor, freedom, and steadfastness” in the face of “domination and occupation,” while it described wars of aggression “that lasted 12 days and 40 days.”
Khamenei’s message, as carried by Wkālat Saba, said “Those days the enemy longs to restore for us have passed, and they will never recur,” and it said the Persian Gulf was “previously a stage where enemy forces roamed.” Khabaronline published Khamenei’s message declaring that “More than 30 million Iranians proclaimed their readiness to sacrifice,” and it said that within “the first 100 minutes more than half a million people filled the requested capacity.”
