Nasrallah’s legacy in Lebanon
Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei sent a message marking “Sacred Defense Week” and the second anniversary of the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, and he described Nasrallah as “the heroic prince of the Arabs and the great symbol of the Resistance Front.” Khamenei said Nasrallah’s “speeches and initiatives strengthened the hearts of his people and the free people of the world,” and he added that Nasrallah was “unmatched in greatness in that ancient land.”
Khamenei asserted that Lebanon’s current phase would be recorded as “prominent and glorious” days for Lebanon and the resistance fighters, and he contrasted that with days of “humiliation and end in disgrace” for those who pinned hopes on “false promises” against Israel. Khamenei said Hezbollah’s “banner” is now held by Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem, and he said Qassem continues Nasrallah’s path “with courage at the forefront of what he described as the ‘firm and Ashoura-inspired ranks of Hezbollah.’”
IRGC marks the anniversary
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement on Sunday on the second anniversary of Hassan Nasrallah’s assassination, affirming that “the Master of the Resistance remains, and his approach continues with all dignity and capability.” The IRGC said Nasrallah “transformed the resistance from simply a tactic into a cognitive, identity-based, and civilizational framework,” and it described that framework as “a strategic choice and a lifestyle rooted in dignity and the making of strength.”
The IRGC said Nasrallah’s impact “transcended borders, extending from Lebanon and Palestine to Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and beyond,” and it said the resistance is “a single front, and victory at any point on that front is a victory for all.” The IRGC stated that the “approach of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will continue its path at the hands of the Islamic resistance in Lebanon and Hezbollah fighters under the leadership of Sheikh Naim Qassem,” and it said the Resistance Front “represents the eternal message of the IRGC and the Iranian armed forces.”

Al-Manar TV Lebanon broadcast a message from Leader Sayyed Khamenei praising Sayyed Nasrallah for elevating Lebanon, which it described as “once a backyard for some powers,” to “greatness.” Elnashra reported that Khamenei said Nasrallah raised Lebanon, which he described as a “small country” that had become a “rear area for some powers,” to “a position of grandeur.”
