Pezeshkian Calls Out Attacks
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused the United States and Israel of undermining regional peace and stability through attacks on Iran, telling Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in a phone call that Tehran has never sought unrest in the region.
“Pezeshkian accuses US, Israel of undermining peace in call with Japanese PM”
Pezeshkian said the U.S. and Israel disrupted peace and stability by attacking Iran, assassinating Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, killing large numbers of civilians including schoolchildren in Minab, and destroying civilian infrastructure.

In the same call, Takaichi stressed Tokyo’s support for diplomatic efforts to end the war, describing them as being in the long-term interests of Iran and the region.
Takaichi also welcomed progress in negotiations between Iran and Oman over the Strait of Hormuz and expressed hope that, following the successful conclusion of the talks, transit through the waterway would be reopened as soon as possible.
The leaders reaffirmed their determination to continue dialogue and develop the historic relations between the two countries.
Iran Slams ‘Wild West’
Iranian spokesman Baqaei criticized what he called a “Wild West” approach to international affairs, saying the U.S. can act as “judge, jury, and executioner” at will.
Baqaei argued that “When a competent international court has already investigated the atrocities committed in Gaza and issued arrest warrants for the Israeli criminals,” a single social-media post cannot rewrite the law or erase the rulings of an international court.

In a separate statement carried by Imam News Agency, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson reiterated that international judicial laws to arrest the criminals of the Zionist regime cannot be erased by posting a single message.
The spokesperson wrote on X that “one cannot rewrite the law by posting a single message and erase the issued judgments,” framing the issue as a matter of due process and issued detention orders.
Regional Mediation and Stakes
Pakistan said it would continue efforts to mediate between Iran and the United States, with Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson saying the visit of Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, to Iran provides an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations in a way that serves peace and stability in the region.
“We will continue to activate direct and indirect diplomatic channels between Iran and the United States.”
The spokesperson said Pakistan would continue to activate direct and indirect diplomatic channels between Iran and the United States and to prevent harm to the peaceful process.
In a separate warning about regional consequences, Khabar Online quoted Majid Doostali saying Iran’s national sovereignty over waters and lands is non-negotiable and that “We will not retreat an iota of the country’s legal rights in the Caspian.”
Doostali also warned that while enemies in the south seek to violate Iran’s territory, “it is not unlikely that they may attempt destructive actions through neighboring countries in the north,” adding that enacting regulations to guarantee security and sovereignty in the Caspian is a national imperative.
