Hezbollah warns of disasters

MP Mohammad Raad, head of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, warned that the Lebanese authorities’ conduct in negotiations will lead the country to "disasters."

Raad said the reality of "the rounds of direct negotiations between Lebanon and the enemy (Israel)" is that ruling authorities have adopted "the occupation's narrative against the resistance."

He argued that arranging Lebanon’s internal political situation on the premise that the Lebanese accept coexistence with the occupation is tied to enforcing the state’s monopoly on the use of force.

Raad cautioned that if Israel becomes certain its occupation will be met with "staunch resistance," even if protracted and costly, it will be wary of underestimating its aggression.

He added that if Israel senses defeatism, weakness, or willingness to compromise at the expense of Lebanese sovereignty and interests, it will intensify pressure to force surrender and submission to its conditions and objectives.

Raad’s accusations and framing

In an op-ed published in al-Akhbar, Raad said the Lebanese authorities’ team has practically adopted the Israeli occupation narrative against the resistance.

He accused the authority’s logic of not arising from ignorance but from "a firm conviction and political commitment" that the option represents the salvaging path for the country from war and collapse, "even at the expense of sovereignty and dignity."

Raad argued that the authority has no option to win American approval, European goodwill, and regional defeat except to extend a hand to the enemy to shake hands and open direct negotiations to end the resistance for the occupation’s sake.

He emphasized that the resistance logic expresses the Lebanese people’s right to sovereignty over their homeland and rejection of the occupation of their land, regardless of how much area is controlled.

He said the whole world witnesses and acknowledges that the resistance fully adhered to the ceasefire declared on 27/11/2024, while the Lebanese authorities bore responsibility for implementing the agreement, extending sovereignty, expelling the occupier, recovering the prisoners, returning residents to their villages, and starting reconstruction.

Resistance as protection

In a separate address, Hajj Mohammad Raad told the Resistance community that it is the criteria of honesty and commitment, and he stressed that Resistance fighters are protecting the existence amid the absence of the state.

Raad warned against betting on the lies of the international hypocrites, framing the Resistance as an "impregnable barrier" against the expansion of Zionist influence and hegemony.

He said the people are subjected to the fiercest war of destruction aimed at breaking their will by bulldozing homes and villages, displacing families, and constantly threatening evacuation, killing, and bombing.

Raad asserted that the weapon of the resistance moved by the will of his sons and brothers constitutes the real barrier to entrenching the occupation and its stability and hegemony.

He concluded by saying, "We fight and resist; we do not weaken or submit," and he described the duty of defense as preserving and protecting Lebanon’s existence, land, country, and people.
