Netanyahu Vows To Stay In Gaza Until Hamas Disarms As Trump Demands Compensation From Iran

Trump responded to Iran’s demand for compensation with his own demand for compensation, saying on Truth Social, "I am likewise demanding compensation from Iran, for all of the people that they have killed and gravely wounded".

NBC News added that Araghchi said there were “no ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington,” while he tempered optimism about Oman by saying changes to maritime routes “do not mean that the Strait of Hormuz has been reopened.”

As the Strait dispute dragged on, The Hill reported that the Pentagon is pushing defense contractors to speed up weapons production, with Pentagon Deputy Secretary Steve Feinberg telling firms they have up to three weeks to send over plans to “drive significantly faster, more aggressive delivery schedules and/or increased production.”

The Hill also said the dwindling munition stockpiles have deepened since the start of the war with Iran, and it cited estimates that the U.S. used up more than half of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile arsenal, going from around 450 before the war to between 234 and 278 THAADs as of late July.

In parallel, NPR described Yemen’s Houthis claiming they attacked an Aramco refinery in Jazan with a drone, with Yahya Saree saying they targeted the refinery in response to Saudi drones’ breaching Yemen's airspace over Hajjah and Saada, while the Saudi Energy Ministry reported a fire at an Aramco facility without casualties.
