Alexey Likhachev, the General Director of Russia's Rosatom, said Russia is in talks with Iran on the construction of nuclear power plants, "both small and large." Rosatom said the first power unit at the Bushehr plant has been taken offline for maintenance, which will include Russian specialists.

Likhachev also said there are currently 80 Rosatom employees on sirte, as Russia and Iran continue nuclear cooperation. Tabnak said Iran's Seventh Development Plan aims to build a 3,000-megawatt nuclear power plant and intends to triple its nuclear electricity production capacity.
