Ferguson to Return
Sarah Ferguson, 66, is expected to return to Britain after months out of the public eye, with The Telegraph saying she is “returning to Britain” and that she will rent a six-bedroom gated property in the Home Counties.

The BBC reported that a source close to her told the broadcaster she is expected “back in the UK shortly,” and it said her belongings were collected from Mountbatten-Windsor’s home in Sandringham this week.
The reports place Ferguson’s time abroad at an Alpine chalet in Verbier, Switzerland, after she was forced to move out of Royal Lodge in Windsor, which she shared with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The Telegraph said Ferguson’s expected return would come just days after The Telegraph revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, had flown back to Britain from the US with their two children.
Across the coverage, the Home Counties rental is described as a six-bedroom property, with the BBC saying she is expected to move into the six-bedroom home “imminently,” which could be as soon as next week.
Epstein Fallout Context
The BBC linked Ferguson’s return to the fallout from her and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s links to Jeffrey Epstein, saying they relinquished their royal titles following increased scrutiny and revelations.
It also cited an email exchange from 2011 in which she wrote: "You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family."
The Telegraph said Ferguson relinquished her title alongside Mountbatten-Windsor in October 2025 after repeated revelations about his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The BBC added that Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his titles by the King because of "serious lapses of judgment" over his friendship with the late paedophile, and it said he has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
In the same context, the BBC said Ferguson faced calls to speak to US authorities after last year’s release of millions of documents shed new light on their relationship.
Timing With Sussex Return
Multiple reports tied Ferguson’s move back to Britain to the Sussexes’ return, with the BBC saying her expected return comes just days after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex came back to Britain with their children.
