MSG wedding preparations
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are getting married in New York, with multiple outlets placing the ceremony at Madison Square Garden and describing a multi-day buildup around the Fourth of July weekend.

HOLA says a rehearsal dinner will be hosted at Madison Square Garden with 400 guests in attendance, and it adds that the wedding party is expected to be hosted tomorrow, on July 3rd, with over 1,000 guests at MSG.
USA Today similarly frames the wedding as rumored to be celebrated on Friday, July 3, at Madison Square Garden, while noting that most details about the big day remain unknown.
USA Today also reports that on June 30, a restaurant owner in upstate New York shared a photo of Ed Sheeran and said he and Swift’s friend and collaborator Aaron Dessner had stopped by.
Business Insider adds that City Hall spokesperson Dora Pekec confirmed to CBS News that a permit was filed to close the streets surrounding MSG from July 2 to July 4.
Celeb sightings and quotes
As celebrities are spotted in New York ahead of the reported July 3 wedding, USA Today says talk show host Graham Norton and “Fleabag” star Phoebe Waller-Bridge have both been seen arriving in New York, according to the BBC.
USA Today also includes Swift’s own words from “The Graham Norton Show,” where she said, “I know it’s going to be fun to plan because I think the only stressful wedding is when you have a small amount [of space for guests],” while discussing her approach to inviting guests.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Sabrina Carpenter was photographed in the West Village grabbing pizza with friends at Emmett's on Grove, and it says Ed Sheeran and Aaron Dessner dined together in Malta, N.Y., about 170 miles north of Manhattan.
Entertainment Weekly quotes Swift hinting that Sheeran could perform, saying, “It would be hard to keep him from it, I think,” on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show.
The same Entertainment Weekly account ties the sightings to the wedding timeline by noting that less than 24 hours remained until Swift and Kelce kicked off their star-studded wedding festivities at Madison Square Garden.
Guest list stakes and security
While the guest list remains unconfirmed in multiple reports, ELLE says Swift and Kelce are having a big wedding with over 1,000 guests and that about 100 guests are expected at her rehearsal dinner on July 2, citing CBS News.

ELLE also says that in late June, a source told NBC News that all guests received an NDA with their invitation, and sources told ABC News that the couple would have a strict no-phone policy at their events.
USA Today adds that Suki Waterhouse told Variety in May that “I'm gonna go to Taylor’s wedding,” and it reports that San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle said he snagged an invite and told Entertainment Tonight, “I'm wearing a blue suit,”.
USA Today further reports that the couple has told guests there is to be “absolutely no gifts,” and it says Swift previously made clear she didn’t plan to be especially selective when it comes to her wedding guest list.
Business Insider frames the operational scale by saying the wedding is “surrounded by hundreds (or perhaps thousands) of their closest friends, family, and fans,” and it notes that something big enough to require street-closure permits is happening in the middle of Manhattan.
