Trump Says His 6-Month Physical At Walter Reed Checked Out Perfectly

President Donald Trump said he “Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY,” after a visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center that lasted about three-and-a-half hours on Tuesday.

The White House said the appointment involved “routine annual dental and medical assessments,” and ABC News reported that details would be released “in the next day or two.”

The Hill reported that Trump, 79, underwent a “routine” assessment as part of his “regular preventative health care,” and that a memo of the exam results is typically sent out by the White House but there was no details on when it would be released.

NBC4 Washington said Trump arrived at the Bethesda, Maryland, facility just before 9 a.m. and left roughly three and a half hours later, and it described the exam as his third in 13 months at Walter Reed.

CNN said Trump departed the hospital Tuesday after his physical exam and declared on his way back that everything had checked out “PERFECTLY,” as questions about his health continued.

ABC News reported that Trump’s physician, U.S. Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, concluded in a memo from April 2025 that Trump was in “excellent health” and “fully fit” to serve as president.

The Hill said there was confusion after Trump told The Wall Street Journal he received a CT scan during the visit after saying previously that he had undergone an MRI, and it quoted Barbabella saying the CT scan was to “definitely rule out any cardiovascular issues.”

NBC4 Washington quoted Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman, who served as a White House physician for more than a decade under Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, saying, “I think concern for the president’s physical health is probably at an all-time high.”

The New York Post reported Trump attributed bruising on his hands to heavy use of aspirin and said he takes 325 milligrams of aspirin every day, while also saying he ignores medical recommendations to lower the dose because “I’m a little superstitious.”

South China Morning Post said Trump drove back to the White House from Walter Reed Medical Centre near Washington and repeated “Everything checked out PERFECTLY,” as speculation about his well-being continued.

ABC News said the White House previously announced the visit as “annual dental and medical evaluations,” and it reported that the visit was Trump’s third scheduled medical appointment at Walter Reed in 13 months.

New York Post reported that a report with additional detail on Trump’s evaluation will likely be released later this week, as Trump is set to turn 80 on June 14.
