The dress, created by Prada and styled by her longtime collaborator Law Roach, featured a deeply plunging neckline edged with fine, skin-toned tulle and crystal embellishments cascading down the bodice and across the sheer skirt.

People reported that Hargitay, 62, told PEOPLE at the Television Academy’s Emmy press preview on Thursday, Sept. 10, "I’ve been preparing by just immersing myself in it," while working with the Colbert team.

As the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards approached at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, KTLA said it would air live red-carpet coverage starting at 2 p.m. with an Emmy Awards edition of Off the Clock and then begin live interviews at 3 p.m. with Jessica Holmes, Megan Henderson, Doug Kolk and Melvin Robert.

The New York Times described the Creative Arts Emmys as held on Sept. 5 and 6, while the biggest awards would be presented during a live, prime-time ceremony on Monday hosted by Mariska Hargitay.

Variety highlighted Meg Stalter’s red-carpet transformation into a Golden Human Emmy, noting that she was dressed all in gold with matching skin, wings and the iconic Emmy statue’s globe held above her head.

CNN framed the arrivals by pointing to nominees including “The Pitt,” “Hacks,” “Widow’s Bay,” and “Pluribus,” while asking whether Zendaya would make a historic pull from the archives as stars kept “in stylish suspense” on the Peacock Theater red carpet.
