Dubai mourns Sheikh Ahmed

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, also mourned his uncle and shared a prayer asking Allah to grant mercy and forgiveness.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan mourned Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and offered condolences to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on the passing of his brother. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wrote on X, “I extend my sincere condolences to Mohammed bin Rashid on the passing of his brother Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.”
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also bid his brother farewell in a message that said, “You are gone from our sight, Ahmed, but never from our prayers or our hearts,” and he prayed for patience and solace. Oman Observer reported that Sheikh Ahmed died on Monday at the age of 76, and it said flags would be flown at half-mast across Dubai throughout the mourning period.
