Pezeshkian heads to UNGA
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will lead an Iranian delegation at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, with the delegation scheduled to address the assembly and present Iran's positions on "international developments."

CNN said Trump is scheduled to meet with Gulf leaders on Tuesday to discuss the next phase of the war with Iran, and two US officials told CNN that the talks will be held during the UN General Assembly’s high-level week.

Nigeria skips UNGA in person

Stanley Nkwocha, spokesman to the Vice President, announced that "Tinubu had directed Shettima to lead the Nigerian delegation to the event," and the statement said Shettima will lead a high-level delegation comprising Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State and Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State. Jimoh Ibrahim dismissed concerns over Tinubu’s absence, insisting that Nigeria will retain its front-row seat and continue to play a full diplomatic role at the global gathering.
Atiku Abubakar demanded an explanation for Tinubu’s repeated absence, and he asked whether the president’s documented history with United States law-enforcement agencies has become a burden on Nigeria’s foreign relations. The presidential administration told UA.News that Tinubu’s decision not to attend the 81st session is not connected to possible travel restrictions to the United States, and it said there are no obstacles to such a trip.
