IRGC hits Israeli military sites, US bases in major offensive

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched the 44th phase of its Operation True Promise 4, announcing a significant military operation that struck key military sites in Israeli occupied lands and US bases across West Asia.

The IRGC said the operation was carried out on the 23rd night of the holy month of Ramadan and released footage of missile and drone launches.

The operation was declared to honor prominent martyrs in the resistance movement, including General Qasem Soleimani, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar.

The operation’s code was given as "Ya Sadiq al-Wa'ad" (O Keeper of the Promise).

The IRGC said the offensive targeted locations in northern Israeli-occupied territories including Kiryat Shmona, Haifa and the city of Hadera, and it also named strikes on areas in the West Bank, Tel Aviv, Eilat and West Al-Quds in related phases.

The IRGC additionally announced strikes on US military installations, saying it hit the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Manama and carried out drone attacks on American bases in Manama and Erbil.

The group described the operation as executed with a barrage of precision-guided missiles, including heavy-duty Khorramshahr, Kheiber Shekan, Fattah, Imad and Qadr missiles, alongside precise drone strikes aimed at enemy positions.

The article noted the previous 43rd phase used a heavy barrage of Kheibar Shekan missiles, each carrying a one-ton warhead, which it said hit multiple strategic locations.

Among the most significant claims in the operation, the IRGC reported downing a US Boeing KC-130 Stratotanker that was fueling an Israeli fighter jet during an airstrike and said all six crew members aboard the tanker were killed.

The missile strikes were followed by drone attacks aimed at US military bases in Manama, Bahrain, and Erbil, Iraq, according to the IRGC.

The IRGC declared the operation a success in a statement from its public relations office.

The statement warned it would continue its offensive until its goals of eradicating Israel and asserting control over Al-Quds are achieved.

IRGC officials framed the offensive as shifting regional power and responding to earlier aggression: Brigadier General Ali Fadavi said the US and Israeli forces have suffered heavy blows since the start of Operation True Promise 4 and that "power equations in the region have changed in favor of the Resistance Front."

Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran's Khatam al Anbiya headquarters, said Iranian armed forces will stand to the "last breath" and that the enemy will be "forced to pay the price for its crimes."

The article stated the operation coincided with the lead-up to Al-Quds Day and referenced Tehran's account that the United States and the Israeli regime started an unprovoked military assault on Iran on February 28 and that the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was assassinated.
