Ynetnews reported that Sa’ar made an unannounced trip to New York for the trilateral meeting Wednesday, and that Israel and Morocco agreed to elevate their liaison offices to full embassies and appoint ambassadors.
The same Ynetnews account said the countries also agreed to expand direct air service between Israel and Morocco to include flights operated by Moroccan airlines and to hold reciprocal high-level visits by senior officials in the coming months.
Deadlines for Investment
Beyond embassies, the parties set deadlines for economic agreements, with HESPRESS English saying Morocco and Israel agreed to finalize agreements on investment protection and the prevention of double taxation by the end of 2026.

Air Links and Diplomatic Framework
The upgrade package also included air connectivity, with HESPRESS English saying Morocco and Israel agreed to expand direct air connections to include flights operated by Moroccan airlines, expected to take effect by the end of 2026.

Ynetnews added that Sa’ar said those flights were expected to begin within weeks, while also saying the two countries agreed to hold reciprocal high-level visits in the coming months.
