Ali Taher Under Fire
Israel continued to target the Ali Taher heights in the district of Nabatieh on Monday, with artillery shelling and drone activity reported in and around the area, and fires breaking out due to the repeated targeting.
“the continued firing and destruction by Israeli troops in southern Lebanon”
L’Orient Today reported that Israel resumed heavy bombing of the Ali Taher heights over the weekend, and said the Israelis claimed the strategic hill is an underground Hezbollah “command base” as a pretext for bombing it.

According to Israeli army radio as quoted by L’Orient Today, soldiers fired at a drone belonging to Hezbollah “that was attempting to gather intelligence on Israeli forces in Lebanon” mobilized in the Ali Taher area.
The Lebanese Army condemned “the continued firing and destruction by Israeli troops in southern Lebanon,” saying it prevents it from carrying out its deployment provided for by the Lebanon-Israel “framework agreement.”
Framework Talks, Rising Tensions
Lebanon is closely watching the outcome of a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over Israeli withdrawal, with Beirut urging Washington to ensure implementation of a border agreement as tensions rise in southern Lebanon.
News of Bahrain reported that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun told Trump that accelerating Israel’s withdrawal would remove Hezbollah’s justification for maintaining its weapons, and said a senior Lebanese official quoted Trump instructing US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth to contact Netanyahu and encourage Israeli cooperation on withdrawal.

The Lebanese presidency said Aoun reaffirmed Lebanon’s commitment to implementing the framework agreement but warned that Israeli actions could undermine its effectiveness, adding “Lebanon will not accept the continued violation of the agreement’s provisions,” Aoun said.
The Lebanese Army accused Israel of continuing violations of existing understandings and international law, citing destruction of homes, land bulldozing, shelling and gunfire in several areas of the south, and said Israeli forces fired near Lebanese military positions in Kfar Tebnit, Nabatieh Al-Fawqa and Zawtar Al-Gharbiyah.
Burning Homes and Demolitions
In southern Lebanon, Al-Manar reported that the Israeli enemy was carrying out bombings in Majdal Zoun, coinciding with a sweep using machine guns, and setting fire to a number of houses on its outskirts connected to the town of Al-Mansouri, South Lebanon.
“shelling and sweeping with machine guns”
Islam تايمز quoted a Lebanese Army statement saying Israeli occupation forces continue their attacks and violations of existing understandings and international law through “shelling and sweeping with machine guns” in several southern areas, including Kfar Tebnit – Nabatieh, Haddatha and Konine – Bint Jbeil, and Majdal Zoun – Tyre.
The statement also said the attacks included blowing up the Litani River National Authority’s water project in Markaba – Marjeyoun, and burning ancient olive trees and vast agricultural lands, most recently on the outskirts of Aitaroun – Bint Jbeil.
Al-Manar further described Israeli glider activity and said Israeli occupation soldiers set fire to homes and agricultural lands in the town of Qantara, South Lebanon, while also reporting a stun grenade drop on Al-Mansouri town.
