UAE trip, Gaza war
Iran condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Sunday visit to Abu Dhabi and his meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, warning of “highly dangerous consequences” from Israel’s presence in the region. Iran’s foreign ministry said it “strongly condemns the visit of Benjamin Netanyahu” and accused him of being “the child-killing and war-mongering Prime Minister of the Zionist regime.”
Iran also warned regional governments to remain vigilant over security risks and urged them to “refrain from providing the grounds for the destructive presence of the Zionist regime.” Iran framed the warning as part of a broader regional security dispute, linking Netanyahu’s UAE trip to the ongoing war and to Israel’s “repeated threats” against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Netanyahu, nuclear and Iran
An Israeli official familiar with the meeting told CNN that Netanyahu briefed Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed during the Sunday visit with new Israeli intelligence indicating that Iran is resuming development of its nuclear program. CNN reported that the details Netanyahu disclosed included “new construction at the Mount “Hath” (Vaas?) site, located about 225 km south of Tehran.”
The UAE News Agency (WAM) confirmed that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Netanyahu held a meeting and said they discussed “the bilateral relations between the UAE and Israel and ways to strengthen and develop them.” CNN also reported that Netanyahu told the UAE leader that Israel estimates Iran may launch an attack in the region in the coming weeks, while Netanyahu’s office said the meeting focused on “strengthening bilateral relations and regional challenges.”

Iran’s warning, regional stakes
Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, warned the UAE that hosting Netanyahu would bring “no pleasant consequences,” writing, “Just as hosting American military bases has not brought you security, hosting the ‘Gaza Butcher’ will also not have favorable consequences.” Rezaei added, “Learn from the recent war, stop fanning wars, and refrain from raising baseless claims about your Iranian islands.”
“As hosting American military bases has not brought you security, hosting the ‘Gaza Butcher’ will also bring no pleasant consequences.”
Iran’s foreign ministry also told regional governments that “regional security is a collective and indivisible matter,” and it warned that facilitating the entry of “destabilising actors” could lead to “greater division, insecurity, and instability in West Asia.” Iran’s statement urged countries to “refrain from facilitating the Israeli regime’s destabilising presence” and to prevent their territories from becoming “a platform for destabilising actions against other countries in the region.”
