Robinhood’s crypto cools

Robinhood shares slid about 4% in extended trading after the brokerage reported $100 million in cryptocurrency revenue for the second quarter, a 38% decline from a year earlier.

Chain and AI push

CoinDesk reported that Robinhood accelerated its product rollout with the launch of Robinhood Chain for tokenized U.S. stocks in Europe and new Agentic Trading AI tools that automate investing while keeping users’ controls in place.C

Cointelegraph said Robinhood continued expanding its digital asset business by launching the public mainnet of Robinhood Chain, introducing tokenized US stocks to eligible users in more than 120 countries, and debuting its first decentralized lending product, Robinhood Earn.

CoinDesk also reported that the second quarter marked one of Robinhood’s biggest product pushes in recent years, even as investors watched whether stronger crypto prices and trading volumes translated into higher transaction revenue for Coinbase.C

Cointelegraph also said nearly 100,000 customer accounts are now enrolled in Agentic Trading, representing more than $100 million in assets under custody, as Robinhood reported net income rose 48% to $573 million.
