Four cells dismantled
Iran’s Intelligence Ministry says counter-terrorism units disbanded four more operational cells belonging to a terrorist group in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan-and-Baluchestan, after a joint operation with provincial law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
“In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said that a joint operation”
The ministry said the operation identified and destroyed four hideouts of a terrorist group affiliated with the US and Israeli spy networks, and that 15 key members of the operational teams were arrested before they could carry out any sabotage act.

The ministry said the arrests and destruction took place in the cities of Zahedan, Chabahar, Iranshahr, Khash and Taftan, Nikshahr and Qasr Qand.
Press TV described the same sweeping security operation as dismantling four organized operational cells of Takfiri terrorist groups linked to hostile American and Zionist intelligence services, with the arrest of 15 terrorists and seizure of multiple caches of weapons.
Press TV said the coordinated raids were carried out across several key counties, including Zahedan, Chabahar, Iranshahr, Khash, Taftan, Nikshahr, and Qasr-e Qand.
Mercenaries and raids
IRNA said the statement did not specify the exact date of the counter-terrorism operation, but said the US-Zionist mercenaries were intending to implement the enemy's project to create insecurity in the province by targeting public infrastructure and services.
Press TV said the Intelligence Ministry described these "American-Zionist mercenaries" as tasked with a comprehensive sabotage campaign, with the primary objective to compromise the security of the province and launch targeted strikes against vital economic, public service, and judicial infrastructure.

Press TV added that security forces confiscated a significant number of Kalashnikov assault rifles and related ammunition, neutralizing the threat before the operatives could execute any disruptive actions.
The IRNA account said the ministry commended ordinary citizens for their help, especially through their tips, and said the security apparatus remains vigilant and keeps investigating various aspects of terrorist networks.
Press TV said the ministry’s operation followed a similar successful ambush in the first half of July, when Iranian intelligence forces dismantled four other terrorist teams in the province.
Earlier ambush and ongoing probes
IRNA said Iran has stepped up counter-terrorism operations after the US and the Israeli regime launched a war of aggression late in February, following their failure to achieve their goals in the January coup they had hatched through their mercenaries and paid servants to bring insecurity in the Islamic Republic.

In the same IRNA reporting, the ministry said the operation was part of ongoing vigilance and that investigations continue into possible domestic contact with terrorist networks.
Press TV said this latest victory follows a similar successful ambush in the first half of July, where Iranian intelligence forces dismantled four other terrorist teams in the province, with two terrorists killed and 10 arrested in that earlier operation.
The IRNA account said the ministry noted that the security apparatus keeps investigating various aspects of terrorist networks, in terms of possible domestic contact.
Press TV said the ministry noted that given the persistent efforts by foreign enemies to manufacture insecurity in Sistan and Baluchistan, comprehensive intelligence investigations are currently underway.
