Haaretz reported that the IDF alert came as American media said the United States may begin an attack on energy facilities and remaining missile and nuclear sites in Iran on Saturday or Sunday.

The VOA Farsi account said the calls and warnings unfolded while Iranian state media said Abbas Araghchi spoke with Asim Munir, the commander of the Pakistan Army, alongside Hakan Fidan.

In the same VOA Farsi report, Donald Trump was quoted saying about negotiations with the Iranian regime that we are dealing with 'very unscrupulous and dishonest' people.

Fidan, Araghchi, and Munir

Hakan Fidan, Turkey's foreign minister, said on Saturday the 10th of Mordad in a phone call with Abbas Araghchi that he reviewed the latest status of ongoing negotiations.

Fidan added in a post on the X social network that "Turkey will continue its efforts to end the clashes in the region and establish a lasting peace."

IRNA, citing Anadolu Agency, said Araghchi discussed with Field Marshal Asim Munir and with Fidan the consequences of the aggressive and destabilizing actions of the United States of America and the risk of escalation of tensions and insecurity in the region.

The Noor News account similarly described Araghchi warning against any adventurist actions by the U.S. Army and stressing Iran's readiness to safeguard national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security.

Iran warns of response

Shafaq News said Abbas Araghchi told Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan that Iran would respond firmly to any attack, warning against any adventurism the American military might undertake.

In that same report, Araghchi was described as affirming Iran's full readiness to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity and security.

Al-Manar TV Lebanon said Araghchi emphasized Iran’s “complete readiness to safeguard its national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security, and to respond decisively to any aggression.”

Haaretz also framed the moment by saying the Israeli military raised its alert level amid expectations that U.S. President Donald Trump might order American strikes targeting Iran's energy facilities and infrastructure.
