Pezeshkian rejects talks
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Tehran that negotiating with the United States is “meaningless,” saying “Every time we come to the negotiating table, we are immediately faced with war.” Pezeshkian said the United States had attacked Iran “three times after talks,” and he argued that the pattern shows Washington is “not seeking dialogue” and instead aims “to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Pezeshkian also said the United States resorts to “assassination, sanctions, pressure and threats,” and he called negotiations “meaningless” in light of what he described as broken commitments. Ararat Mirzoyan was in Tehran as part of an official visit, and Pezeshkian used the meeting to call for expansion of trade ties with Armenia.

Parliament, Hormuz, bombers
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told state media that negotiations with the United States are “useless,” saying “So far, they have attacked us three times after the negotiations.”
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said Tehran had recently received proposals from the Americans via intermediaries, and he told parliament that the United States “will not reopen the Hormuz Strait until its seven conditions under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding are met.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran was serious about finding diplomatic solutions, and he said the Hormuz Strait “will be fully reopened within 7 days if Washington accepts Tehran's conditions.”
The U.S. pulled all of its B-1 strategic bombers from the Royal Air Force base at Fairford, and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied a direct link between the withdrawal and a suspected Iranian plot at the site last week.
Threats and regional fallout
Lt. Gen. Ali Abdollahi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command, warned that if a new war breaks out against Iran, “its fires will reach everyone.”
Abdollahi told Tasnim News Agency that “We do not wait for the results of the American election, and we will respond forcefully to any attack we face.”
The statements came as the region saw American military deployments, and Al Jazeera Net said the expected arrival of the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt to the region was “by the end of November,” joining two other aircraft carriers.
Al Jazeera Net also said the amphibious assault group Makin Island is about 260 meters long, displaces about 41,000 tons, and can accommodate about 1,600 Marines, while it includes the 13th Reconnaissance Unit.
